Brought about by: The very real threat of eviction from my house through no fault of my own... Wind-up merchants that think it's funny and clever to have people fall out with each other, costing one of those people a real opportunity of work... Jobsworths - especially those ones with selective blindness... Thieves... General Piss-Takers... Red Tape... Officious Officials... ...they can all go to Kizmiaz! The State of Anger is not a very nice place, and can become quite desolate. The discordant piano represents that... As for the rest of it, it's nasty, it's harsh. It's not nice. It's not meant to be. And the bass is crap cos I just couldn't get it sounding right. In the end, I used two different basses, each following the same pattern but one an octave lower than the other. Still sounds shit though; such is the nature of the tune. I don't expect any feedback from this, and it'd be pointless saying something like "Yuch, what a horrible track - this doesn't work, that doesn't work..." cos I've already said it's horrible, so I already know. So are the situations this track grew from. ---- One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. Last edited by Glassback on Thu Jul 08, 2004 6:24 am; edited 1 time in total |

Hi Glassback,
Thanks for sharing this. The feelings come across quite well Its nasty, its harsh yes... but you do realise there is a sweetness in the piano? I like this very much. Thank you. Dave |

mick,
i think the bad mood is clouding your judgement. there are some good ideas here. i actually quite like the bass and also the wibbly arp at the beggining, the slightly dicordant (quite pretty) piano makes a nice break from the noisemongery and the drums do their job. sorry to hear your having a bit of a shit time of it at the moment i bet if you revisit this when you are in a better mood you'll be quite pleased with some of the ideas just don't go the way the tune does. bang..... |

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time Mick The tune doesn't sound so angry. I was expecting 5 minutes of white noise and screaming (a la Aphex Twin) |

A perfect representation of moods....
Like Steve said, there will come a time again when all this anger will be away again; reflect then on this tune as you do have some great things happening in here. Harsh and dirty - and I liked it... Sorry to hear about the times of anger you are in right now Mick. Express yourself; it helps trying to keep a focussed mind. |

Dave Thanks - I think (thanking people for liking my anger seems like a weird thing to do...). You know, there is more than one type of anger - there's the raging, red-vision type where you just wanna hit people and there's the melancholy type... I've got a bit of both I suppose... ---- One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. |

OK, I get the sentiments with the mp3 - it almost made me smile even (not easy when someone's in such a dark mood...) - but I just don't understand that first bit, sorry. ---- One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. |

I can't help but notice that the selective blindness is still going on though... (There're at least 3 people who know what I mean by this...) ---- One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. |
