Excited for Dune 2.1 I heard somewhere that the person who made the GUI for Serum is going to be making a skin for Dune 2 with the new update. Does anyone know more about this?

I bought this :)

I actually like the regular Dune 2 skin, but the new one by Satya is very cool. :) I look forward to any new ones that others come up with.

This skin looks great, thanks for sharing!

On another note, I'm having trouble finding the Dune 2 Skin folder. I'm on OSX 10.9.6

Would I just drop it into the folder where I keep my presets?

Thanks in advance!

A few things to note:
1. The skinning feature of Dune 2 is in beta stage and yet to be released.

Thanks for the reply.

Its clearly stated in the first post here that you need the next update to use new skins....

It looks like a different synth, frankly.
What's wrong with the original GUI?

Same synth, different look. It is nice. Why do you think something is wrong?

Well, why make a new skin when the original one is really good already? :)

Because not EVERYONE thinks that way. If you like the default, use that.

Serious, really nice skin, easy on the eyes. :tu:

Do you know when the next version of D2 will be release?
Indeed, those are mighty side panels :o :hihi:

Yeah, people... What a pity they can't attach spoilers to the GUI :hihi:

Anyway, just compared both and I think it is a bit distracting that the section headers are lit as if they were selected menu options. Also, the small knobs and the scales are not as ergonomic as with the original, the red ring around knobs was more "informative".
What I like better is the orange lit buttons and pads when active. and that the shadows and patterns are gone from the displays.

All in all, while at first glance the new skin sure looks more elegant and modern, it is not as ergonomic as the old one in my view.
