Does the Amiga 500 count?

Post

This is based on modify date on the dll in my VST folder.

Hexter (2005)
Voyager (2007)
Oatmeal (2008)
SQ8L (2008)
Atlantis (2009)
Chimera (2009)

I don't really consider Synth1 and MinimogueVA/Luxus that old, because they have been recently updated and the audio quality is greatly improved on newer versions (they both have had significant filter updates, and Minimogue got oversampling).

You're still using your Amiga 500? :o

I've got 2 (one is out of commission though) lying around, but haven't used the Amiga for a good 10 or so years (and that was to play games). The one that works still has a MIDI box attached that can no longer be removed because the screws that hold it in place won't turn.

I think the Cakewalk plugins are the oldest ones still in my arsenal. My wife gave me a new computer last year for Christmas, and when I set it up, I culled a lot of the old synths I hadn't used in a long time. I have so many of the new, up-to-date synths, I don't have time to spend on reviving the older products.
This space has been unintentionally left blank.

I think that would be Albino for me. Or maybe one of the Arturia plugins is older. At least Albino and Moog V I still use very regularly.

Dreamstation 2 (DXi)
Good enough, but I don't have it installed... From memory, I don't think it still adds something to my current arsenal.

Virsyn Tera 3 and FM8..still the best package in my opinion soundwise, featurewise and CPUwise...

Post

NI FM8 - i don't like to program it but presets are very nice :)
Novation V-Station - I like it's digital, bright sound

Post

Shinen Audio SHN-1 &

LETO - a small nice synth that I still love for it's easiness.

I do not really know anymore how old they are...It is at least 10 years ago when I bought SHN 1.
LETO is freeware...I got it in 2003 for the first time I think. The program didn't change much since then.
Can this thread be erased?
Im tired of the fanboys and the clueless know it alls.

It was actually ok for some squelchy synth bass sounds, but I did not like it for anything else.
