ok here's an explanation of the files. zebra-raw is a low C using a sine wave in ENV mode, attack to 0, decay and sustain to max, smooth attacks OFF. The phase is set to 50 which is supposed to be zero phase but it's not, any other value will be even worse. If you look at the waveform in an editor you will see that the wave does not start at 0 (therefore a small click). zebra-smooth-attacks is the same setup except smooth attacks is ON. It helps just a little but not much, still noisy.

clean-raw is an edited version of zebra-raw where the wave starts exactly at 0 phase. It's less noisy but there still is a click (normal). clean-smoothed is like clean-raw except there's a fine tuned fade in that removes any click noise while retaining the sharpest possible attack, I love how it sounds :) btw listen reasonably loud on good earphones.

The short fade-in shape and length should be different for every note and every starting phase position in order to eliminate all noise while retaining the fastest possible attack. And then of course one can use the attack knob to get slower attacks if you wish. I think the Smooth Attacks parameter aims to reduce this noise issue but my point is that it should be greatly improved. And also 50 on the phase knob should be a real 0 phase.
