7072 Compressor - looking for betatesters [32bit Win VST only]

Hi,
I'd like to kindly ask for feedback from Win VST 2.4 users willing to betatest my bus compressor effect.
This plugin aims to be yet another bus feed-forward compressor, though I could not help myself to give it a little bit of (optional) saturation, and top it off with a hard limiter, which I rarely find in one package.
Complete list of features (stereo version):
* optional auto attack
* optional auto release
* 2<= ratio <= 10
* variable knee is ratio dependent, not user selectable
* optional knee-to-ratio inverter
* introduces floor noise and interchannel crosstalk
* saturation with bias
* hard limiter
* pre/post compression amplitude display with selectable zoom factor
* external sidechain
As a matter of fact, this is my first time asking you guys for feedback, so...I'm not even sure if that's how it's supposed to be done, just let me make it better Anyone willing to spend their time, will be provided a direct download link, no installer - one dll only.
Edit: SSE2 capable CPUs required.
Piotr

What exactly is velocity? That's interesting. I would test it, but I use some weird compressors, so my experience is not with this stuff.

Velocity is the best name I could come up with for knee-to-ratio inverter, based on what it sounds like. Makes compression more apparent with low ratio when engaged.

I can test in Win XP, Sonar and Mulab. Not sure, if I can provide any valuable input on design thought.

-saturation sounds filtery, has my speakers sounding like they're ripped, a bit distorted, sounds waveshapery
-can't hear anything with bias
-i like the velocity on
sounds decent, not much of a compressor expert. Thanks for letting me test it.

I just tried it a little on master and drums.
+ CPU usage
+ visualisation
- saturation itself (sounds wierd)
- CPU usage with saturation (project without 7072 Compressor 14%, with 7072 14-16%, with saturation 37-45%)
This one have potential. I'll try it again tomorrow with fresh ears.

Ok, an update is coming your way. Should be nicer on the CPU when saturating and I did some corrections in the saturation loop hopefully to improve the sound.U-o wrote: - saturation itself (sounds wierd)

-the saturation-with velocity on it sounds really good now, beneficial if you'd want that sound, with velocity off it still sounds like weird filters I'd say
-the cpu w/saturation in savihost goes from 3% off to 40% on-quite a jump

Now with the velocity on and saturation up, it just has a dirty sound. I think that exact filter stuff from the last build was really good sounding.
With 7072.0.59, the saturation all the way up & velocity sounds great, without velocity, it sorta sounds like it's ONLY mixing in a filter-I don't hear any saturation.

I'll try it out if you like, Win7 in Live 8 & 9, Pro Tools 10 (Via the FXpansion VST to RTAS Adapter V2), SONAR X3, REAPER and some other odds and sods. I've done a fair bit of beta testing and know my way around dynamic control
All the best
