when I turn on "pattern" mode on the sunbird acoustic guitar sampler i hear the patterns & they continue to play when I'm in record mode, but then when I finish recording the only midi information being recorded is my chord performance & not the pattern as well. How do I get the pattern to be recognized by Logic X as well?

It does record it, but not if you only click it from the interface. So just start everything from the keyboard and you should see a long midi note in the MIDI data.
