trusampler wrote::bang: :wheee: Can a one man developer charge more then $50,and still be my favorite small dev? is that allowed? God forbid he make money off of his hard work..
NOT ALLOWED IN THIS THREAD!

I'm just trying to find awesome people making awesome effects plugins with awesome prices. Feel free to share though, it may help someone else out.

The main thing I was hoping to avoid is people suggesting companies that have proper marketing, support teams and/or that hire out their DSP development. I want to get some exposure to the guys who are doing a great job by themselves, but maybe don't have the best marketing.

Later today, I update the OP with a list of stuff suggested here.

It looks like I really need to demo the valhalla stuff finally.

Audio Thing is pretty good, like the sound and price of that Valve Filter :tu: http://www.audiothing.net/effects/valve-filter-vf-1/

"Small" meaning 1-man operations that charge <$50usd for their products. I'm not really interesting in instruments at all.
Kinda narrows it down, don't you think?

And I'm sorry, I can't really speak much to effect processing for cheap. But there are two "small" outfits I really like:

1) Superwave synths http://www.superwavesynths.co.uk. Yes they're made with Synthedit and geared primarily to techno/trance artists, but they sound so good, and get so little love from KVR...

2) Cantabile host http://www.cantabilesoftware.com. This host is by far the most useful when integrating VST instruments with hardware for live performance.

1 man $50 ish plugins.
TAL do a superb free chorus and Flanger http://kunz.corrupt.ch/Products
Valhalla DSP his plugins are on sale every day https://valhalladsp.com/

Does it have to be one man though? D16 do some cheap plugins of high quality at around $50

ohm force is a 4-man operation folks; not a 1-man operation.

Also, just because they have some sub $50 plugins doesn't mean they're a "small operation".

Tokyo Dawn Records. Freeware and low priced pay ware, both very very good in sound and user interface.
And a definite +1 for Toneboosters. Some of the best and most affordable workhorse plugins.
Tritik for a good, usable delay. Nice guy, too!
Klanghelm and valhallasound have been mentioned before and deserve all the praise!
