I´m a little surprised that no one mentions this amazing new plugin here.

It is a little revolution and maybe more suited for acoustic sound sources.
The price is extraordinary, but I would give it a try.
A demo is available.

And don´t call it "just another EQ", before you´ve been reading and listening carefully :D

Post

That's quite the price tag.

:o No way in hell I'd spend that much money on an EQ.

I've been looking for a tigher bass. My search has ended.

They obviously dont want bedroom producers using this.
Amazon: why not use an alternative

I guess frei:raum is what you have in your pocket after purchasing this.
To be fair it's a pro product and much more then an usual EQ (have groundbreaking features) so the price is right i guess.

Yep, that´s true.

I think this is more a tool for professional post production and/or mastering.

It´s not just an EQ!

You can edit each sound on three levels.
- Tonal/atonal balance (sound/noise balance)
- Foreground/background (editing direct/diffused balance of the sound like dereverbing and more)
- Spectral analysis (spectral footprint of the source) and editing the frequencies without changing the character of the instrument.

That´s surely pro, but simply awesome and outstanding.

I´m thinking of skipping the Omnisphere Update to get this thing.

Just tried it on some ruined or badly recorded acoustic tracks.
And guess what, they became alive and crisp with only small effort.

This is a true time and life saver.

Intriguing, but not at this price tag. They're obviously aiming at the pro market, and hoping that their product is unique enough to justify the exclusivity.

We'll see if this is another Einklang. Anyone remember the starting price of that one?

They may have made a mistake in calling it an EQ themselves - this does look to be more in the league of the Zynaptiq stuff like Unfilter and Unveil or some of the tools in Izotope RX. The videos make sense but the website itself doesn't do a good job of explaining what it's about.

If there's no zippering between settings – it doesn't sound like it from the video – it could be very interesting for sound design as well as rescue jobs.

Haha, so true. :)

Bullsh*t.

I gave the demo a little spin. I think it's at least interesting and will investigate further.
Don't think it's quite as revolutionary as they want to convey but as the saying goes:
''It's worth what it will fetch''.

Interesting stuff; never heard of this company. Expensive, but they do a 40% student/lecturer discount. Not sure of the terms though.

Take a look at their team. One of them has a name to die for 8)
