You can do it! Use the Brian method! ... maybe someone can dig up the post how to complete an OSC entry in 4 hours. :)

Track updated again. The major edits were adding a lead to the 3rd variation, arps added here and there as required and sorted little things that needed fixing in the mix (more HP eq tweaks etc).

PS: Brian, think I might need re-approval to the OSC SC page... derp... SC needs to sort out their potato servers... geez :x

 I was fairly decent at this method, but Irion is the grand master. He wrote a huge post about how to do an ace track in less than like 8 hours I think. I need to find that post :hyper:

Thank you sir. Such efficient administration. :tu:

PS: I know it's not time yet, but how the heck does the voting work, spread sheet?

It's a simple site where you can drag/drop songs into boxes labeled 5,4,3,2,1 to score them.

My entry:
https://soundcloud.com/hennessey/bh9090 ... where-hive

I had no intention of doing the OSC this month, but had a minute and downloaded Hive. Well damnit Urs. I had a full kit, and pads and keys in 15 mins. So I put something together. Looking forward to version 1.0.

Live 9, 24 instances.
Live 9 effects, but not many due to so many in the synth. Limiter, Compressor and EQ8. Camel Crusher (what went wrong Camel Audio?!?), and Tal Reverb 2.

I was actually able to complete this bad boy in time, and turns out I needed a break from the Rhodes restoration...plus it was damn easy to create an 808-style kick which seemed fun, so...

This song is a shout out to my friend and co-worker who likes to remember the good ole days when he was in a band in college and he and his bandmates got wasted one night and ate all but six inches of some 8 foot dried sausage one of them had. So they made a song called 8 foot beefstick, which he claimed was the band's moment of glory. I've told him one of my songs would be honorably named after this thing of beauty (or not) of his band's, and so I present you the 8 foot beefstick.

Even though my track is a bit less than 3 mins, I took a while to make it, an hour or 2 each day for around a week. So maybe around 14 hours. Some of the time is used changing presets around to my liking, that took a while. I didn't have time to make them from scratch, but wanted them to sound more the way I wanted. :)
A lot of the time is just trying to make sure it is mixed and EQ'ed right. Also making sure the lead parts sound just the way I wanted notation-wise, I nit-picked those a lot.
