Little problem with Vdrum and mapping

Hi guys.

I've got a problem trying to play Rogers dub kit with my VDrums TD-30.

It's a weird one: I've reset my TD-30 to default and loaded up the Vdrum map in Kontakt. The mapping seems good with the exception of the high tom. So i select "high rack tom" in articulations, hit the "learn" button and give my hi tom a whack, and hey presto, midi note C2 it is and the tom is sounding nice.

But here's the weird part: after i've done that, the snare side stick (which was fine before), no longer sounds, and i get the snare rim instead. But checking the side stick note in articulations, it's the same as before, C#1.

Now, if i hit "learn" again and hit the side stick, it now registers as E1!

Weird weird weird!

It's like selecting C2 for the tom permantly convinces Kontakt that when i hit C#1, it actually reads E1!

Any ideas!?

Thanks! .......... Mr.D

Hi Mr D,

Yep that a weird one.

Maybe try loading the VDrum map and then select the Rack Tom in the menu. Then use the arrows in the box next to note to move the drum instead of using the Learn function.

Let me know if you're still having problems.

In the meantime I'll get onto our developer and maybe look at getting the map updated.

Thanks and sorry for my slow reply!

I managed to sort it by adjusting my TD-30 module, although the problem was a weird one!

Ok cool - glad you got it sorted : )
