All synthesizer vsts utilize a single core right?

It isn't much of a problem anyway, is it? If the host can assign the multiple instances on several cores anyway, most modern CPU's should be able to handle on instance per core at least without getting into trouble.

That makes sense if you want four or eight separate instances performing at the same time.
What if you want four or eight extremely expensive physical/electronic models running at the same time? What if each one of these was merely a component in a single voice?
