Hi
I have Maschine and use maschine4bitwig script, but it doesn't convince me.
The integration of maschine with his own software is so great thant i was disappointed with maschine4bitwig.
So i would like to know if push4bitwig has all the functionality of PUSH for Live ?
Is it exactly the same workflow ?
push4bitwig vs push 4 ableton live ?
Thanks

I love Push with Bitwig, but I've never used Live, so I can't compare ...

Disappointed? Sorry man but the script isn't even finished and I am glad you are looking at a Push now.cedrelo wrote:Hi

BTW, you wouldn't even know how much BS I had to deal with trying to get all those controllers working, Native Instruments wasn't any help at all.
Honestly, I worked on the Push as well and it was 100% easier to program because it's just a straight MIDI controller, no BS.
I really can't stand the word disappointment on threads though, learn to script buddy!

Hi,
Really sorry i can't apologize enough for the word "disappointed", maybe it was not the good word, due to my bad english!
I know you do a really great job for Maschine4Bitwig. I'm a software developper too. And i know you were limited by native instrument midi implementation for example for the SHIFT key and function!
I just want to explain that Maschine hardware and software are a sort of symbiosis. They were developed together. And we can feel this when we use it. And i don't regain that feeling with Maschine4Bitwig.
I see the tutorial of PUSH4Bitwig and i was really impressive of how you developed 99% and even more of the functionality of PUSH for Live!!!!!!!
I really want to work with bitwig after 10 years of logic pro and few months of Maschine. So i decide to sell my maschine MKII and buy PUSH to work with bitwig and PUSH4BITWIG.
Really thanks for your work.
Cedre

Yeah I can apologize as well, I just woke up and read it, didn't even think there is a translation issue.
So sorry for being an ass.

BTW, When I get back into the DEV in April, I am really going to try and make it as close to that "feeling" you are talking about.
When i was working on the Push4Bitwig, I may have brought over some code and design/ux patterns that were not quite suited for the Maschine workflow in Bitwig.
So I am going to work on that next and probably change somethings.

all the basic thing was nicely implemented in push4bitwig, I only miss those capture and chord related features which ones have been introduced in nativeKONTROL PXT-Live Plus ( https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 59r5nxtV79 part 4,5 )

I would say there are a few "focus" issues with using the grid layout (I feel a little double handling trying to get Bitwig away from the arrangement view... and device navigation especially in drum machine is a little chaotic at times.) and just a couple of features away from this script truly being a Push/Ableton replacement...
I would say the note repeat function, quantize, and few other odds and ends (Having to go back to the mouse to add an instrument after making an instrument track before I can browse the presets is torturous) that keep you needing to reach for the mouse makes it not quiet at the Ableton Spot... But all of these things are reliant on the API being available... And it isn't (YET).
The guys have frankly done a brilliant job so far, and deserve every bit of praise we can muster... The PUSH controller is definitely on the Bitwig map courtesy of these guys.
I hope the API progress keeps rolling out, and we get the no mouse workflow this hardware can offer.
Hope that helps with your question...
Keep up the good work everyone!!! I'm keen to see what the 1.2 API will bring for PUSH
Cheers... V.
