Hi there,

I'm trying, and failing so far, to send sysex messages to my CZ1000 from Virtual CZ.

I have VCZ on a midi track in Reaper, the same Midi track is routed to external midi, and sending sysex does not work. Am I doing sth wrong?

hi,

If you put a "ReaMIDIControl" after VirtualCZ in the Reaper FX Chain, do you see the sysex messages in the log? You can turn on "Auto Send Sysex" and set Midi out to "host MIDI". Make sure to set to CZ101/1000 and check the Manual for instructions about setting the synth to receive MIDI.

OK I found my mistake: I simply hadn't chosen "internal" as memory setting. All working fine now, thanks!

Hi again,

I just scored a CZ1, and it looks a bit more complicated to send sysex to it than with the cz1000. I've tried various things but am stuck so far. How should I set the CZ1 up to receive sysex?

CZ-1 is better for sysex i think.
