AAS provided most of the synths in Live, imagine if U-he provided vesions of his plug ins that were native BITWiG devices :D I guess as BWS devices derive from the modular environment, Uhe would have to build basic modules first (diva oscillators/filters anyone...)

Who else would you like to see the wigs work with. Or who else would be a good fit? sugerbytes? How about Valhala reverbs (great sounds, nice simple GUI)

I would be cool if the platform were simply opened for anybody, like rack extensions.

Hadn't thought of that! Yes, it certainly offers a higher Level of intigration than a standard VSTi, but optional (rather than bundled) instruments make racks and projects less transferable. Another option is to provide vst developers programing information to allow their vst to be seen as a module in V2, with inputs and output that can be affected by, or affect other modules (patent pending ;-))

unlikely... I think both Vahalla and Uhe have expressed frustration at the number of plugin formats they already have to support.
Personally, Id also prefer that plugin developers spend more time creating new plugins, rather than having to port and support other apis.

that said, i hope bitwig do provide an open api to the modular environment, perhaps there could be a specialised market for indie devs.

don't forget arturia that propose producer pack,so the same question will be for arturia
now, because uh-e offer a vst or a voucher to buy, i think is only a commercial strategy to improve sales

It will probably look alot like Reaktor ecosystem does. Alot of community stuff, some commercial stuff.

I think some better Bitwig in-house synths/plug ins along the lines of what FL Studio does with their in-house stuff is in order, especially because then it will be subject to the tweakability afforded by when the hood comes of the modular environment...

Something akin to an in-house version of say sylenth or massive... should take an afternoon or two to code in... tut-tut.

I am so joking, okay? About the afternoon bit... cheers! OMG I cannot wait for the April's Fools Bitwig posts... LOL

Sounds cool, if Bitwig consulted and/or licensed algorithms of other companies as well. This would be a little bit similar to John Bowen Solaris that has also Waldorf wavetables built-in, something that no other than Waldorf synths have. IMO, one of the greatest advantages of Bitwig at the moment against all other DAWs is the speed, as it has not been pumped up with too much of stuff. They need to be careful not to introduce too cpu heavy stuff, for example too heavily modelled oscillators, in it. The stuff that is included now, especially the fx, are high quality but still low in cpu.

This would be awesome, I'd love to have Diva's filters as a separate unit. I already own Diva, but have always thought that it could do with more modulation options and a better interface. Drag and drop like Massive is the way forward for computers, I've never really liked synths that try to mimic real world hardware, as we're using a mouse and keyboard or touchpad to control it and should have an interface built for that.

Which is why I like Bitwig so much, it's designed for us laptop/desktop users. A combination of Bitwig with U-He components would be amazing. Still, it's already good, as I can now add a ton of modulation to Diva via Bitwig's awesome modulation system, I just can't route audio through it. That's what Cytomic's the Drop is for though! So many good plugins these days.

It would be the daw with the best built in synths that's for sure, i'll keep my fingers crossed.

And the synth with the best DAW too ;)

Well, AAS worked with Live, there is absolutely no reason why there couldn't be a UH-E synth, perhaps based on Hive as that is simple and low CPU (and sounds great!)
