what is slide (or glide)?

also - what is tie, accent and portamento?

they all seem to be somewhat related.

you could look it up.. But glide is basically how long it takes for a note to "glide" to another note. (try turning on portamento and turning up the glide dial, then playing different notes.)

Cant really remember what a tie is, I used to know, not particularly important though.. An accent is a note thats been attenuated, it'll sound a little louder\sharper.

Portamento is just the setting where notes glide between eachother after playing them, legato is similar except that the notes need to overlap in order for them to glide. happy producing :)

some sequencers tie notes if they abutt, so if you make it 2 notes long it will not be staccato, it will play a minim(maybe some sort of loose definition). It has a symbol like a horizontal curve in notation.

porta rules IMO-
it's funky
