Memory Collection Pack 07 - Crime Movies is now available.

2 796 wav files taken from 9 Public Domain Crime movies and 1 science fiction movie that date from 1938 to 1975. As the first 6 packs, a collection of voice/spoken word/dialogs, sfx/foley and music samples. Most of them can be further divided so you can have some fun yourself

I am leaving HERE the smaller temporary demo of 35 samples that I put together 2 weeks ago. Note that the sample names ending with X indicate that the sample is a cut from a longer one.

I have been working on the Memory Collection 07 for over a year. It will contain more samples from Public Domain movies. It has been delayed for various reasons but it is now in the final stage.

This means that I am done choosing and cutting the preliminary samples and am now trimming and cleaning/ restoring them for release. I have 350 samples ready but I still have a lot to do so I am not giving an ETA yet!

I love these collections. I know exactly how much time goes into something like this, so that's why I'm so happy that you make these available. Great organization, great choices of content (highly useable material), searchable via live's browser or the Excel (but not limited to) spreadsheet.

Very cool!

Just bought and am looking forward to diving into the content.

It does take a lot of work and time to create these collections but I guess it appeals to the historian in me... and the sounds are fun to play with as is or mangled.

Glad that you like how I organize the samples. I do my best to deliver fun, interesting and useable sounds but with so many sounds the organization is important. It starts with names that describe the sounds, and that's also why I include 2 spreadsheets, one in alphabetical order by movie and one by folder/type.

While working on the more elaborate audio example mentioned above, I made this small experiment. All samples play only for a short duration, a fraction of their full length, one after another. There are two 2 bars patterns that each play once and then they both play together. The 6 bars are then repeated. I have added a slight of reverb.
