Mine stalled once for about 20 mins, came back fine without any intervention on my part (faster than before, actually).Ben H wrote:You're kidding.

I haven't closed the window... It says it can take up to 10mins to resume... So far it has been 12mins... I hope you are right and it *does* come back to life.noiseboyuk wrote:Mine stalled once for about 20 mins, came back fine without any intervention on my part (faster than before, actually).Ben H wrote:You're kidding.

so....after no response from Spectrasonics to all the installation and authorization problems, I gave them now 24 hours in order to send my money back to paypal....
I'm not willing to pay for "nothing"....not working software.
I never had these kinds of trouble with a software. And I use a lot of synthesizer, video, audio software.
Last night I had during problem solving also a look to the authorization emails (4). The challenge codes on the end of the emails are not the challenge codes, that I copied and pasted on the authorization page.
If they have the problems solved in the next weeks/months, I will buy it again...but not now....

Forgive as English may not be your first language, but I do find your posts incredibly confusing to read. You speak of getting no response from Spectrasonics, yet you have 4 authorisation codes? I don't understand.Bladerunner1962 wrote:so....after no response from Spectrasonics to all the installation and authorization problems, I gave them now 24 hours in order to send my money back to paypal....

But rather than post more here giving more explanations, Eric has re-emphasied - definitely contact the techshop support, they are there and will get you up and running. Try and be as clear as you can. For seemingly most of us, once we had the correct installers everything was very simple to upgrade. Some authorisation issues were because version 1 was not fully registered first - it has to be before you can get v2 up and running. But in general, if you still have issues contact via here - https://www.spectrasonics.net/sales/tec ... op_msg.php - and they will get back to you.

Ah, glad to read that. I know with most downloaders, once they freeze they freeze and you're stuffed. This seems to be different, thankfully - just leave it and it'll sort itself out, seems to be the way.Ben H wrote:I haven't closed the window... It says it can take up to 10mins to resume... I'm also confused about the customer service of Spectrasonicsnoiseboyuk wrote: Forgive as English may not be your first language, but I do find your posts incredibly confusing to read. You speak of getting no response from Spectrasonics, yet you have 4 authorisation codes? I don't understand.

To make it clearer: They don't respond to my email, where I described my problems.
The here named emails from Spectrasonics are only automated confirmation emails with the authorizations codes, which not worked.
I described them my problems very clear; more times.

Forgive me if you have tried this already, but have you tried typing the codes manually rather than copy-pasting them?Bladerunner1962 wrote:The here named emails from Spectrasonics are only automated confirmation emails with the authorizations codes, which not worked.

Some people have reported that this works.
I am unable to try this myself as I am still waiting for it to finish downloading.

Blade runner - I think you have the whole process wrong! I don't think you'd ever get automated authorisation codes, that's part of your challenge / response routine that is specific to each computer when you run Omni for the first time. Are you sure it's not a ticket number or something?
Register your email in the link I gave (even if you already sent an email a few days ago), and I'm sure they'll contact you and sort you out. They set up that system to specifically speed things up for those who need it.
(I don't think this is relevant in your case, but in general the thing to watch with copy / paste of codes is you don't add an extra blank character or something at the beginning or end, that can cause it to fail)
EDIT - just to say that Spectrasonics are working over this weekend to sort folks out.

But you must admit: you may be overreacting.
You jumped into the update knowing that Spectrasonics are completely overwhelmed by the release, encounter problems, then first try for hours to fix it yourself, getting really upset about it before even contacting support.
Now you did contact them and don't give them the time to get to your case and help you solve the issue. Yet, you didn't stop trying to fix it by doing the same thing you knew didn't solve the problem. Getting even more upset.
And before they could even help you (remember the times when it was okay to solve issues during regular business hours?), you ask for your money back because the installation doesn't work *right now*. But they do still have your two support cases to work through.
How about waiting until next week, when support have their hands free because the webshop will be working?
You say you will buy again when support help you solve your problem. So why reclaim your money now?
Please, the release was supposed to be on thursday, can't you just give them a week to get you sorted? You must have other tools you could make music with in the meantime.
..off to play with my music toys - library music production.

I had the same trouble yesterday trying to input my Omni 1 serial so I could buy the upgrade. It didn't work until I typed it in; copy and paste didn't work. I still have about an hour to go on my download, but when I register the new version, I'll be sure to enter the seial manually.Ben H wrote:Forgive me if you have tried this already, but have you tried typing the codes manually rather than copy-pasting them?Bladerunner1962 wrote:The here named emails from Spectrasonics are only automated confirmation emails with the authorizations codes, which not worked.
