Need a quick and efficient way to convert 96 kHz -> 44.1 kHz

I need to convert 24-bit 96 kHz Wav to 24-bit 44.1 kHz Wav.
It needs to be efficient and fast, as I may need to convert/downsample 650 samples that I've made, and I can't sit all day loading them into a DAW or other audio software and render them out
Does anyone know of any good audio converter softwares?
I first had a look at the AudioCoder and tried it, which seemed to be very handycode especially since it can convert entire folders, but I can't manage getting any audio from it (it successfully creates downsampled copies but they all contain no sound - and yes I've tried different settings, even uninstalling it -> rebooting -> installing it again).
I've also tried the Sox-software, but it's way too complicated and takes too much time.
Oh and I use Win 8.1 if that helps.
Thanks

Wavosaur is free, and I believe it supports batch processing. If not, Audacity is also free, and I know it does. Audacity is just more of a pain to figure out and use, IMO.

The voxengo plugin looks watered down, but I'll try it.
Though since it looks so cheap I gotta ask - does it a good job setting new samplepoints, since 96 -> 44.1 means completely different sample locations than compared to 88.2 -> 44.1 (which would just remove every 2nd samplepoint I suppose).
I know writing/re-writing digital audio is very well developed these days, but can I expect a good results from this one?

Really, don't let the looks deceive you. It delivers the BEST sampling rate conversion available!steffeeH wrote:The voxengo plugin looks watered down [...] can I expect a good results from this one?
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

my go to Audio move
http://www.winsite.com/Multimedia/Misce ... AudioMove/
"AudioMove is a simple, easy to use GUI-based batch audio file copy-and-conversion program. You just tell it what files to convert, what format to convert them to, and where to put the output files, and it does it.
AudioMove has the following features:
1. Converts from any format that libsndfile can read, to WAV, AIFF, Ogg/Vorbis, or FLAC format
2. Uses libsamplerate for high-quality sample rate conversion to various sample rates (11.025kHz-192kHz)
3. Supports 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit, and 64-bit input and output sample widths
4. Specify files to convert using file requester or drag-and-drop
5. Multithreaded design for faster processing on multiprocessor machines
6. Pipelined dataflow for efficient resource utilization
7. Recursively batch-convert entire directory trees in a single step
8. Conversion-batch sizes may be arbitrarily large (e.g. thousands of files at a time)
9. Can be controlled from the command line (useful for invoking batch conversions from scripts)
10. Files can optionally be converted in-place
11. Stereo and multitrack files can optionally be split into multiple mono files
12. No installation necessary -- just unzip and run
13. Qt-based GUI means AudioMove is portable to most major OS's
14. Open source (GPL); source code is available below
15. SUSE 10.0, MacOS/X and Windows binaries available below for your convenience."

I was about to try the AudioMove, but it will only download as a .zip-file and not as an .exe-file...bludreamsounds wrote:my go to Audio move

That's even better. No installation, just unzip the program files.steffeeH wrote:I was about to try the AudioMove, but it will only download as a .zip-file and not as an .exe-file...

You should have installed them on your ipad.
Free plug-ins for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Xhip Synthesizer v8.0 and Xhip Effects Bundle v6.7.

{though I have always used soundforge}:
I agree with what has been stated about this:

However... wavosaur is dead easy also.

Voxengo R8Brain works fine
I also found a good software that could convert to AIFF (except converting samplerates), that actually works and doesn't lag:
http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ (NCH Switch it's called)
Anyway, people say that Voxengo R8Brain has some of the finest quality when it comes to converting samplerates - is it true or are people just overly positive about it?
I mean, if there's no difference in quality between Voxengo R8Brain and the NCH Switch I might as well uninstall R8Brain and only focus on using NCH Switch since it's more simple to only have to deal with 1 software
