I've been trying to figure out what kit to try to go to so i can find this rise effect. It's in ALOT of beats right now and i like it. It sounds like a siren rising. Can someone help me out?....
Here's a beat with this effect in it....

You can take one saw and apply an LFO (sine wave) to its pitch (and optionally its Amp volume). Play with the speed/rate of the LFO until you get the rise you want. Mix in with a bit of noise to give it some texture. On the amp envelope set attack, release, and decay to zero (sustain at 100%). No kit needed. Any basic free synth can do this.JayDeePlus1 wrote:I've been trying to figure out what kit to try to go to so i can find this rise effect. It's in ALOT of beats right now and i like it. Well, if an answer as detailed as you already got is not enough, I'm afraid you'll need far more in the basics department instead. Then again, maybe talk about beats should already clue one in to just give you any currently cool thing, details of the craft be damned? Wait for a big list of any and all the kits any sec now that the nature of the quest is clear.

The way to DO IT yourself was given you. It's one of those "teach a man to fish" kinda things, since "KIT" is generally a reference to an instrument, or effect processor... which though perhaps lacking the instant gratification of "finding" it done for you, would pay dividends in the long run.

These are only $129, but speakers are sold separately and comes with a DJ microphone. It comes with seven presets for sirens - Wail, Yelp, Sting, Siren, Horn, Tool, and Hi-lo (all analog, by the way). The Village People may have used the same hardware on one of their albums.

The AIR The Riser can do the same, but in a plugin. Knock yourself out.

I replicated that kind of sound with the VST called Vanguard and of course there are tons of synths that can emulate that sound, it is achieved by modifying the attack level and the pitch on the envelope 2 , so it starts a little off pitch and then raise to the key being played... you can find tutorials by including the word proppeller, this might not be the exact tutorial but could help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyFFPrnsjg8
