And coincidentally... I associate your sounds "almost to a patch" with those genres.
Which shows each of us has our perception of what those mean.
I mean to me, they walk like a duck... ;)

A decade later your grude with Native Instruments reappeared? :o
Bingo! Someone finally got it!

Well I think the best thing is to let the sound speak so that everyone can make his own idea :)

Here are some presets I made for NI FM8

Some for Diversion

And here is the wonderfull demo Nori made of the presets I made for Xils-Lab MiniSyn'X, the budget version of the Syn'X 2

Like I said presets are an encouter between a man and his instruments. Either one is able to begin a conversation with them, to dance with them, to make them sing and swing ... or less  . And that's it.

Absolutely. And I pretty much said that. I do have some of your sounds that are included in the Alchemy Sets. I think a few are in the Dubstep bank?

Post

I've been comissioned by Camel Audio to make presets for Alchemy Factory Library. At that time iirc I was the sound designer who had the luck to see the more of his patches taken. These patches were made with Alchemy 1.0 and the included sample set. I never worked for a Dubstep bank, nor any specialised soundset, for them, and dont know if they took some of my patches to include them in such a bank. If they did, I'm very happy they did it. Seems unlikely to me, but well, who knows ( besides those who got that dubstep bank ) ... I'm inclined to think that my Alchemy patches were done before the birth of dubstep anyway. Here's a demo track for Alchemy who was on the podium for CA 1rst Alchemy track contest, made only with my presets included in the factory library, or preset in my Magic Wand soundbank for it. It was present for a long time on CA Alchemy song player on their site. Maybe they have removed it by now.

I'm sure they're all good sounds. I stopped using bandwidth to listen to them anymore is all. They just don't fit my taste. And please know I'm not putting you or your customers down in any way. But I do think they are used in EDM more than you know.

Post

Well if you can judge sounds without listening to them ... And I'm very happy if they are used for edm also according to what you think. It compliments very well a lot of my pro users including some of the biggest game companies, synth companies and working composers. One can't obviously please evrybody, and its alright like that.

The point you keep skipping is that I have listened to them and don't feel the need to eat my bandwidth and keep listening to them because you see an opportunity to spam a little.
(and I had no idea Diversion was made by NI ;) )
I'm not saying they're bad at all or that your demos are EDM. But they fit.

Post

I had no idea either that Diversion was from NI. You just teached it to me ..... But I wrote that the FM8 was made by NI. Is this correct ? :clown:

+ I dont spam : You took the liberty to comment my presets in a global way based on what appears as uncorrect or limited informations like for a *Camel Audio Alchemy *dubstep* bank*. My answer was simple : the sound itself. You asked for it.

Do you have music that I can hear btw ?

What is clear to me is you've taken offense where I really didn't mean any. I know it's either all or nothing with many on KVR and being someone that just as often takes the third option as the other two is enough to go off on. Perhaps the Diversion link is where it stepped over into spam territory in being off topic to the thread. There are some designers that click with some and not others is all.
