When playing low, you can almost hear the individual pulses of each oscillation.

I'm looking at the GUI on a Youtube vid and I see there's a phase control in the bottom left of each oscillator panel. Have you tried setting that to random? I'm wondering if the patches you don't like have phase set to 'reset' or somesuch.
Experimenting with random, reset & flow on the Phase, I hear little difference on the "Big Unison Lead 09" patch. Maybe on other patches I would hear more of a difference. Just before I came back to this forum, I did discover this though (not far removed from what you were saying): when I turn the Detune down, the "Big Unison Lead 09" patch turns into a non-buzzy, surprisingly good organ patch!!

try disabling the oscillators.

for real tho I think you might be hearing the natural sound of the way Hive produces oscillations. It can induce ringing that only a very few would catch. I would try adding noise to the mix myself.

Sounds like you haven't investigated the EQ enough, and are misinterpreting something there.

Howard,
Thank you for replying. I need to investigate further, though the EQ seems to respond quite a bit differently depending which patch I start out with.

Edit:
Dasheesh,
I need to try disabling the oscillators, I'm not sure if I tried that yet. Thank you.

I don't know why I just remembered this but if you are still out there. Lower the velocity of the mod envelopes with filters engaged. It's smooths things out a lot.

Dasheesh,
I'm still "really out there". Thank you for replying.
