Where Did This Synthetic Vocal Come From -- Hardware or Software?

I would really like to know where this vocal sample came from or how to go about creating it myself using software (if possible). It might come from hardware though, so i'm not sure-- I know that the roland v-synth gt has some very unique vocal synthesis going on which might be it? Humbox is the closest thing I can thing of for software but there is still quite a difference (especially the glide type).

It's the vocal sample playing throughout this track.

Have no idea how this is made.

But here is an SOS article on creating wovel sounds on synths:

Why do you assume that its synthesised? LFM's SOS article some reverb and portamento will probably sort you out but you'll get there quicker if you pitch up a vocal sample and subject it to all the modulations you can hear presented. You might try to resynthesise the voice also using additive or spectral tools. There is a highly synthetic quality to the voice but it probably isn't synthesised. My 2 pennies :-)

Agreed. It just sounds like some "oooh" samples looped, resynthesized, or run through a granular process. The vibrato sounds like it was added later. Then just pile on the delay and reverb.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Sounds just like a looped sampler / granular synth with some phasy filter.
