I've started using Ni's retro machines and layering the bass patches from that with soft synths for really deep results, multiple compressors in the chain helps as well. It spreads the reduction around so you don't get any over reaction in reduction and gives the sound generally a nice slight coloring.

Using slight different tunings on oscillators helps, I also find adding a slow slight lfo to the oscillator pitches can give the impression of drift.

Shitty about Sylenth1. I tried to buy that from some French kid here. In the market place and that ended up this whole shifty ordeal that ended up with him treating to kill himself because I didn't let him rob me.

Bummed me out, I love that synth. Sometimes I fire up the demo and weep for what might have been.

FXpansion Strobe is capable of creating deep, harsh, raw basslines

For example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K37ou-T7rAc

And, what's important, if you want to program your own sounds, it's quite easy to achieve interesting, good results. You don't need to tweak hundred of sliders, tabs, knobs etc. :)

Also, I like D16 Lush when it comes to deep but more analogue basslines (but it's cpu hungry :D)

You can achieve some nice basses using Sylenth too - layering is your friend :) Also, some of the sounds are quite similar to leads which Sylenth can produce for sure very nice (ie. https://soundcloud.com/vstcafe/edm-fact ... nk-sylenth)

I always liked Absynth for bass. You can get it to get very rich, deep basses.

Twin Bass by The Interruptor. When I first fired this thing up, I said to myself " :D This man understands!"

Might take a little dialing in to get your ideal timbre, but for analogish "fat bass" Twin Bass is a superb tool for the job.

Saltline Swierk, listen to some great examples here:

Discontinue use if rash or irritation develops.

rob_lee wrote:No matter whether the OP has the Nexus expansion or any other synth layered with other stuff or not he's still gonna have to process his bass channel when he puts it in the mix with other elements. Don't know how many times Iv'e said this but he doesn't listen anyways.

The OP can ask advice about whatever synth he wants it don't matter cause any synth can get the BIG bass with the technique's Iv'e already stated in previous posts here it's up to him to take advice or not. You can't just take a Nexus patch or any other for that matter (bass sound) and just stick it in the mix without externally processing it. Presets in any synth no matter how good they sound still need processed in a track context as they are mostly designed to be played stand alone right out of the factory.

Thanks
Very true, i finally think he simply don't understand what you talking about.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Lush-101 can produce some phat basses, but then again it's basically good at anything. ;)

Rob Lee, of course any synths can make bass.

But, if you want warm and big sounds, Sylenth1 and Dune2 aren't great for that. (Dune2 is too much lacking caracter). I tried a MiniV from Arturia and I totally loved it.

I will see for Diva. But it's a big CPU eater from what I read, and using Diva for only just bass synths is not the best choice, even if it do it really well.
I disagree. Mono bass sounds are the only thing my computer can handle when it comes to DIVA and it can add a lot of beefy analog character to a track. Well worth the CPU hit!
