I had for ten years an intel dual core 3,0 GHz computer and never big problems
with synthedit synths. Now I have a new computer with an intel I7 4470k cpu ( 4 cores) and I have performance problems. And I do not know why.
For example: I have a synthedit synth that uses 10 % performance of my old cpu.
Now on my new systems it uses 20 % although although the computer is much faster.
At first I thought it was the internal bridge of Cubase 8. But that cannot be.
When I try the synth als standalone synth with savi host I got the same problem.
Can anybody help me to solve the problem?
Thanks for your help.

So it's not that you run bridging to 64-bit host now then?
Synthedit based plugins are known to have severe problems also with stability in this environment.
I got rid of all Synthedit based stuff - it's asking for trouble.

Could also depend on which version of SynthEdit the synth was built with- older versions do not play nicely with multicore CPUs.

Any reason why you don't state which synths you are talking about? Anything embarrassing?
