Leap Into The Void released Metamodernistic Distortion for Bazille.



The idea and vision for Metamodernistic Distortion is a hybrid of progressive rock/metal on the one hand and, contemporary electronica with emphasis on experimental noise and distorted industrial genres on the other.
Call it a very dirty story with a great solo and good opportunities for strong melodies.
Metamodernistic Distortion is for the dark, the ghost and the distorted progressive mind.

Working on a new composition with leads, bass, sequenced noise, clicks, bass drum, pad with noise layer and a recent discovery (new design technique) I want to explore more, using the mapping generator as a fast gater with the result of a kind of broken ring modulator, depending on what oscillator shape is fed. Should be up soon.

Added new tune called "Abracadabra".
A kind of dark industrial easy listening with a spell, featuring, distortion, noise, soundscrape, panned clicks sequence, bass, several leads, synth kick and a pad.

The first example of the mentioned technique in the post above is the scraping/machinegun dirt sound at the beginning and also at the very end, (also comes filtered in-between, starting at approx 3:30 sounding like a dark storm).

LIV makes hands down the most interesting sound banks for Bazille I've heard and Metamodernistic Distortion might be the best so far if the sound samples are anything to go by. Sounds I can use and get inspired by.

I want through and explored all the patches factory-included in Bazille over the last couple of months, and your sounscapes/fx loops are, IMHO, the absolute best of what comes included in the synth. Have you considered picking up Madrona Labs Aalto or Kaivo? You should be able to come up with some powerful soundscapes and atmospheres with those.

I remember checking Aalto when it came and from what I've read about Kaivo it has some fantastic possibilities on offer. Atm I'm rather blinded by Bazille, with Absynth closely following (if not rated first).

Composed a short new piece called "Raster Lullaby", featuring a keys sound (long release), ghost sound, tempo-synced dirt/noise sequence and a kick bass with LFO driven filter cut.
The tempo-synced dirt/noise sound that comes in the middle contains the above mentioned technique, shown in the pics.

New composition up called "Impulse Response", using four presets, two lead sounds and two sub (kick) basses.
The first lead sound has a kind of physical model behavior which I'd like to call Synthetic physical model (as a couple of sounds in Enchantment Of Absynth). The second lead has a "analog" feel and expressive behavior (based on a impulse shape) it is repeating the melody of the first, before they split apart and the subs enter.

Added a new piece called "Plucked Overdrive", featuring a expressive mono lead (plucked guitar) sound. Velocity is assigned to amp, pick/pluck amount, cutoff and decay/release time, to make it as organic and expressive as possible. Two instances of the same mono lead sound is used in the demo.

Uploaded a new composition called "Meta City", showcasing more of the melodic parts, featuring four sounds. Starts with a saw/impulse gating sound and a pluck/shamisen in bass register, followed by a pluck/mallet (square) sound and lastly a evolving tempo-synced gate pad.
