Do post your audio, plz.
Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

:tu: xoxos bong is the best electronic drum synth imo.
korzeine is great and I suggest also Bigroomkix synth

:hihi: Indeed, but it was more alluding to the earlier 2009 thread saying this is more like the 2015 version. I removed it from the title to avoid confusion since I'm in no way referring to only the most recent synths. Cheers
I'm confident some new options will be available before 2015 leaves us 8)

I think one should kind of mention the main style of music when mentioning a favourite.
Psy-trance kicks are in general very different from house-kicks and so are kicks in minimal techno etc.

I would guess house kicks are generally more layered.

My old 'bladerunner bank' for Synth1 has a couple of kicks in it iirc. I used to use them as a starting point. Was always impressed with how chunky they sounded.

Nice. Psy kicks are kicks that sounds good without additional layers. I that sense they are "simple", it's most about getting the curves right and getting enough initial freq drop for impact. Psy kicks are alot impact and less boom compared to alot other kicks.
