Yes I know alchemy is going to be no more in a week.
I'd prefer to hang on to it for as long as it works.
I searched the camel audio forum, however there was a fix for 1.25 but not 1.55
I would've posted to the camel audio forum except that it is locked

OK here goes
I re downloaded version 1.55
it works as far as playing back the sounds.
However every time I load an instance of the plugin, it prompts me for the alchemy data folder.
I locate it and it works fine.
until i restart the host or load another instance. How do I get around this?
I would like to continue using alchemy for as long as possible.
Thank you!

I'm going to have to disagree with you there...

Did you use the newest Alchemy installer for your 1.55 update?
Is your folder in the default location?
If not, re-download all, place on desktop, run installer, then archive.
CA support posted archive instructions.

It was in the default location. I tried to move it when the issues started
I will try your advise tomorrow night as I am tired at the moment (sorry)
Thank you for your help!
Not sure if there is a dedicated archive command but after a successful download, I did copy the files to my external hard drive then placed it in a safe deposit box/

Log in to your account, then go to: FAQs>Installation. That is a big page covering Installation and Backup, default file locations, etc. you can download & save the FAQs as a pdf!! Should cover you.

Did you move the library or the .dll? For the library, on PC, edit the file AlchemyConfig.txt located there: C:\ProgramData\Camel Audio\Alchemy. The 1st line is the path to the library.

For the .dll, the path is located in the registry, located there: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Camel Audio\Alchemy
