It's utterly brilliant. Everyone should give that thing a go.ezelkow1 wrote:Saw createdigitalmusic posted this one up yesterday, was just about to give it a go:

Here's a new device I released this week, that's been getting me the usual controversy.

Oddular is really cool, there other stuff doesn't attract me.bharris22 wrote:Hi Everyone,
I see that this thread is several months old now. Has anyone come across any other M4L devices that they could recommend? Anyone have any experience with these: http://www.gamma-devices.blogspot.com/p ... ge_23.html.
Thanks!
I really love Hyakkens sequencers

Oh wow, I just did the lazy drag/drop approach.elxsound wrote:A folder exists under Documents Max for Live Devices. I've been putting the devices there, and then added this folder to Places. You of course don't need to use this folder, but it's simply the one I went with for now.aMUSEd wrote:btw for stuff that doesn't have its own installer (alp) where do you put M4L devices in Live 9 so they will show up under M4L instruments and fx?
Otherwise, I'm still interested in alternatives...

didnt want to start a new threat for this. hope it's ok, to post here:
I just uploaded my latest device to the m4l-database:
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... ope-mapper
It is a multiband-envelope-controller. I think it can give very nice results on complex material like whole mixed.
Please try, comment, enjoy!

How stable is the latest version of Live/M4L?
I find the idea of M4L appealing, but when I tried the Live 9 Suite demo (64 bit Mac) at the end of 2014, I got replicable random poof crashes using nothing but simple M4L devices. Looking at the Ableton forums it seems this was fairly common and folks were saying the 32 bit version was more reliable...how are things these days? I actually found Bitwig to be more stable so I went with that, but there are a number of features in Ableton/M4L I could use.

I've never had a crash using M4L on my 64 bit Mac.
