I abandoned Cubase a few versions ago. Since then I moved to S1 and a retina macbook. I've been entertaining the idea of moving back to Cubase, but after playing with Elements 8 demo it seems very pixelated (like that gaming feeling you got from going from a PS2 to a Nintendo 64 etc...you just don't remember it looking so bad lol). Is there a GUI setting I'm missing? Something seems clearly wrong.

The pixelation comes from your Retina rescaling. Blame Apple.
Cubase 8 is just fine and looks super sharp in 4k.

Because I'm rotting away in a desk job
