To clarify - I did ask whether Mdrumenhancer might get me better drum sounds than EZDrummer 2 when I feed it MIDI from my Jamstix.

I'm not sure where your suggestion I buy MDrummer fits in there ... are you saying MdrumEnhancer isn't really going to help much in my example? Or ...? Sorry, I think I'm being dense here!

My understanding-- MdrumEnhancer is not a drum VI. It's an enhancer. You still need to feed it actual drums. MDrummer is a drum VI. So you put MdrumEnhancer after your drums, you don't use it as your drums.

Exactly! It's not a sampler/synth or anything, it enhances your existing sound as described on the www ;).

EZdrummer 2 is only able bounce a stereo mix. For full multi-channel bounce you will need Superior 2.
If he is correct, one has to assume the functionality you pointed out in the original EZDrummer was removed in EZDrummer 2.

My guess is, based on EZDrummer 2 user comments and reviews, that he made a mistake on re: his own product!

[EDIT: A different mod clarified at the Toontrack site - inability to bounce anything but a stereo track as described by them was meant to refer only to using EZDrummer 2 in "stand alone mode", was not meant to apply to using with a DAW, at least as I understand his clarifying post.]

Oops, that page was from an EZDrummer manual (dated 2011). I do not have either EZDrummer but have a look at:

Perfect - thanks, DarkStar!

You're welcome.

But you have to get MDrumEnhancer anyway ;)
