Either that or I'm crazy and I dreamed this whole scenario up :D

I'll make a video tonight and put it up.

Ok for anyone reading this, here is a video of how I've used maschine in Bitwig. Its kinda just thrown together but I made sure I went through all the different ways you can use it. Let me know if you have any questions.

How about Maschine without the VST, just the Bitwig script.
Because if I get Maschine over Push, I'll try out the VST but most of the time I don't want a middle man, just controller and Bitwig

Mike is probably best suited to answer that question, considering he wrote the script and has been dealing with NIs bs trying to get it finished :D

Well.. It uses the same code base as Push4Bitwig since I helped write it, I ported most of the functionality to Maschine4Bitwig.

If you are using a Mac, you will not have any pad light problems, have have been in communication with NI about this on Windows and hopefully in the next months it will be fixed for Windows.

Once Volker finalizes the Group API and Moss gets that into the base framework, I will pretty much complete Maschine4Bitwig.

This is my video eons ago, things might change as I can really nail down work flow when everything for the browser and groups are implemented in the API.

IMHO you need to decide if you want 16 or 64 pads AND do you value the straight forward buttons on the Push that nicely translate to Bitwigs UI.

Or just get both. :) JK haha

Thanks man!

Pretty much the way I was doing it, I must have been confused when you said you were routing a Maschine Sound to a Bitwig Auido track, you didn't show that so I am assuming I thought something that you didn't actually say.

I have no problem getting audio to the Maschine's multi-out track. So basically I have achieved everything you have done in the video.

Thanks again for taking the time. :)

No, you heard correctly. I forgot that when you do the multi out in bitwig it automatically makes those child tracks. In Cubase you have to make separate audio tracks to route everything to. I got confused haha

Hi,
I also try to use Push in Bitwig to play Maschine 2. But for some reason, even in Drum mode, the pads are mapped chromatically,. I can't play the different sounds of the kit, like if the kit was in "keyboard mode" in Maschine. Do you known how I can fix this ?

Bitwig 1.2 + Push4Bitwig 5.0

Thanks.

Oh yes, that's correct. It seems to be a midi configuration problem. Thanks for this video !
