Hey Everyone,
First post here. I would like to recreate the lead/bass synth at 1:00 in. Does anyone know what it's called? Maybe I can look up some tutorials. It has winding, ripping, and zipper like characteristics. How can that be created?
Dash Berlin feat. Emma Hewitt - Waiting (Dash Berlin Miami 2015 Remix)

The elements I can pick up are:
-monophonic
-Legato / glide
-maybe mildly detuned / panned / spread
-on beats 1 and 3, an automated filter cutting out the low frequencies? Or maybe this is done by a second layer.
Hope to hear some answers!

sounds like a motorcycle or chainsaw sampled and played as an instrument in a sampler that has enveloping and pitch etc.

There is a lot of layering for sure. The main component is a distorted/saturated saw with a notch filter I guess.

Im very familiar with that sound. Its a Nexus preset from the 7 Skies2 expansion. There are actually 2 in the expansion that are similar..
LD:Junior & LD:Ninja.
There's also one in Synthmaster but I cant remember the name of it. There's also a few similar in Spire in the factory presets (one called LD:seventieth). By memory I think there's one in Phalanx too.
But the Nexus ones are closest. Just need to take off the delay and add glide to it. You should be able to hear it in the demo at their site.
Also I disagree with it being layered. Why would it be layered? There is however saturation on it.

This can definitely be achieved with a saw wave. Easily done with serum. notch filter would work good as someone stated above and also try the drive knob in serum.
