Best vst for Supersaw?

Post

Searched his posts, looks like he is serious and not trolling.

And my fav synth for supersaw is Xhip:

Raw output, no EQ, no delay, no reverb.
Probably not the best, but it is all i need if/when i need supersaw.

I like Hive supersaws.
Also Dune2 can do really nice ones.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Thanks. This highly scientific topic just screamed for some loosening. ;)

Every of the more popular synths can produce supersaws these days, it's no rocket science really.

The question is whether they can produce a decent supersaw or not. Only a few are capable of that. At least if you dig a good supersaw. If not, then it doesn't matter, agreed. But plugins have gotten a lot better in that regard, that's true.

Electra2, HIVE, Dune 2, or Sylenth1

All the synths listed so far are very solid, capable instruments. You really couldn't go wrong with any of them. Personally, I reject the notion that there is one single "best" one. The reason people own more than one synth is that, despite a great deal of overlap in functionality and sound, each one offers some new spin on the same ideas, a slightly different character, a different interface, and so on.

Strictly speaking of supersaws, Dune 2 and Hive are my go-to instruments right now, for whatever that's worth.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Virus Control, duh. 8)

Or, if you don't want to buy the $3K dongle, I'd recommend Hive, Sylenth, or Gladiator. Omnisphere 2 does a pretty mean supersaw as well.
