Seems I have a lot of new effects to try/buy. (and experiment a bit more with ones I have)
It will take some time to work through this... and make the right decisions. But you helped me a lot.
Thanks again, guys!

What is the latency of this plugin? It doesn't really explain what method it uses to buffer and freeze the signal. Is it realtime or close to it?

Abletons reverb can freeze at any point on it's tail. Might be worth a try to see if it gives you the effect you're after

I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

I have 0.0ms, for both variants (instrument and FX). Win\VSTAh_Dziz wrote:What is the latency of this plugin? It doesn't really explain what method it uses to buffer and freeze the signal. Is it realtime or close to it?
Not know what freeze method by itself here, but principle such that instrument reads the point in wav in realtime (like granular sampler), and FX versia work like in any reverb freeze, i.e. a button for "on\off" reads incoming signal.

Well I will check that out. I love all types of buffer stuff. Which reminds me I forgot to mention sound hack pvockit. The spiralstretch plugin in that is fantastic for making drones from pretty much anything.

Instretch by WOK is an instant extreme time stretcher. It will record audio for up to 30 seconds and then play it back up to 100 times slower with selectable pitch. Also manual "riding" thru the sample with endless hold of a grain is possible.

It's actually interesting plugin, but unfortunately I had to abandon it, because he put processed wav to root of system partition C, even after close the project.Pytchblend wrote:Instretch by WOK is an instant extreme time stretcher. I hope I'm not mistaken, it was a long time ago.
But I admit that for some users it may not seem critical (all the more so it's free).

There is another freeze thingy by WOK, the EFU-1. It is interesting, although I hardly use it. And I guess one can no longer buy it

Reaktor, Boscomac. Perfect freeze plugin, I forget the name but you will see it. All their stuff is class and pay what you want. Free to download though

It says it needs the full Reactor program but would they also work in the Reaktor Free Player for 15 minutes under demo mode? Cool sounds at Bosomac...wish they were VSTs.
