NastyDLA. Still haven't found a decent replacement.

I heard Elton use an excellent one.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

He does! :)

All joking aside, I really like Imperial Delay too. Looks like he's prepping an update that'll be out soon! :tu:

Hi from Germay,

i like to get the PSP Echo as my birthday gift :-)

Is it able to do what replicant x described in his posting:

"Every delay I mentioned above can be tuned delay time even when it synced to BPM.
I mean quarter + 10 msec can be possible not only just quarter.
It's very important especially for MIDI sequenced instruments."

SoundToys EchoBoy has been my goto for a couple years. It's got different options for the delay colouring which are simple to flip between. I usually go between the default and digital delay and that's it.

As much as I hate supporting Waves, H-Delay is a great insert delay for leads or something. Seems to have a really pleasant colouring, but it is definitely coloured sounding.

Outside of those two, everything else might have potential, but is not simple or inspiring enough. Gotta strike a balance.
A heaping dose of outrageously goofy synth tracks, scores and chiptunes.

UVI Relayer is Strong contender for a do it all delay, and the GUI is great for so much control.

90% of my delay use is Waves H-delay which actually has all in it. I also sometimes use PSP PS85 (mainly for weird effects and also for a built-in duking).

Also many people mention echoboy as a good 'togo' one, but I never tried it myself.

I buyed Waves H-Delay at Waves Plugin Day (58 USD). Now i'm waiting for black friday specials (Studio One Upgrade, Soundtoys Plugins ...) Thank you for recommendations!

The PSP85 delay is still what I reach for almost every time. Love it to bits!
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Hornet Deelay is really nice as well, and super cheap, but no filters.
Hornet deelay is buggy and unreliable. Shame...

Does NI Replika need the whole NI Service center bloat to run ?

Yes. It's great though, very easy way to keep your software updated.

Replika is the best candidate to replace the famous NastyDLA, but not quite there yet.
