Yep. Generally I use Reaper but for cover version backing tracks I'm finding FLS is really good for throwing a backing track together (import midi, replace with Addictive Drums and Trilian, record a backing guitar track or 5). Was better with v11 as v12 seems to have some issues (for me) with plugin scanning and crashing after a long editing session.Robert Randolph wrote:I'm reading this thread, and I'm here so...
I'm legitimately curious if there is any information for folks outside the electronic music realm. It's just a curiosity.

Well.. if they have some dude, this "Varien" guy doing orchestral stuff in FL Studio then implementing some kind of proper tempo-map and variable time signature stuff is a must have feature (man his video was retarded.. it was like a "here's how to do your first ever "epic!" sound track thing".. horrible horrible stuff). It's just not possible to do any kind of professional video/game/film scoring without this feature. Consequently it's the very reason I'm using Reaper for these things. FL Studio has such an awesome piano roll though that I'd switch to that in a heartbeat if it had the tempo/time signature stuff done properly. Reaper piano roll is still such a PITA to use.

As we have said, time-signature changes in the Playlist are coming.bmanic wrote:Well.. if they have some dude, this "Varien" guy doing orchestral stuff in FL Studio then implementing some kind of proper tempo-map and variable time signature stuff is a must have feature (man his video was retarded.. it was like a "here's how to do your first ever "epic!" sound track thing".. horrible horrible stuff). Whatever you think of the man, his music is made in FL Studio, under the 'limitations' you are protesting about preventing - any kind of professional video/game/film scoring... Nick has worked on films including Furious 7, The Walking Dead, 300: Rise of an Empire, The Purge: Anarchy, The Loft, Bones, Face Off
