Resurrection for Alchemy 2 (Logic X)

Post

Here comes a little night vamp jammed together at 5 in the morning combining the stick cello, marching drum and a windpad-snapshot from a patch named Ice Cube:

All sounds in this slightly spooky demo are spectrally re-synthesized, 2 fresh Alchemy patches made today - the four vocal sounds morph into each other using element morphing with separate morph speeds (via LFOs) for spectral and formant morphing, the piano scrapes and string accents are split sounds, 2 in each source, ready for Halloween - go!

Keeping it in the Halloween theme, here are four fresh patches in a rather dark ambient atmosphere - 100% Alchemy 2:

After hours and hours staring at Alchemy 2 I just needed something simple, so here is a little ambient cloud combining two fresh patches:

Here is a little video demonstrating the sonic possibilities of the patch Harp Spectrality, which spectrally re-synthesizes multi-sampled celtic harp bisbigliandos/tremolos:

This one is quite beautiful:

Additive re-synthesis - multi-sampled bass flute swells in A meet multi-sampled trombone swells in B, element morphing via 2 Performance Controllers, timbre morphing in each source via 4 dedicated LFOs can be dialed in for each source independently, so can formant modulation, some FM synthesis applicable in F2, and more... - organic synthesizer sounds at their best - Alchemy 2 amazes me more and more, the deeper I dive into it.

Improvising in a first pass, adding snapshot morphing in a second pass - 100% Alchemy 2:

It's Christmas in October - two fresh patches in a slightly surreal demo:

A video with the patch Spectral Bowls - 4 singing bowls spectrally re-synthesized in 4 crossfading sources. Use AT for vibrato. Each source has a dedicated formant control which alters several formant-related parameters, X/Y-pad 2 controls filter balance F1/F2, the latter adding ring modulation effects.

Two finalized patches in a rather dark ambient soundtrack type of whatever:

Video and audio demos for Stick Cello Synth - using re-synthesized multi-sampled stick cello accents, spectral re-synthesis in A, additive re-synthesis insource B, a very playable and versatile instrument sounding anything between a guitar, sitar, organ, synth pluck, woody percussion and whatnot. Morphing through the 8 snaps on the fly:

Two finalized patches with spectrally re-synthesized, multi-sampled instruments (e-bowed acoustic guitar strings/flute repetitions) in a harmonic improvisation.

Short descriptions:
Acoustic Ebow Spectral - Spectrally re-synthesized e-bowed acoustic guitar with sizzling strings, 3 multi-sampled, zone-crossfading sounds in each source (A/B).

Spectral Flute Texture - Spectrally re-synthesized flute repetitions, 2 samples with different route notes in A/B, element morphing is performed by 2 LFOs, Perf. 2 adds tempo-synced formant modulation.

Improvised the chord progressions with the guitar patch in a first pass, added some flute in a second pass, then added snapshot morphing for each patch in 2 more passes.

I really liked your composition for the Stick Cello Synth. Was that simply played in from a keyboard in one pass with a bit of editing? Or a second pass for the bass part? Quite lovely...
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Thank's - I think it was actually 3 passes - one for the basic vamp, then some solo fills and then some bass - plus another pass for the Snapshot morphing.

Improvising with the patch Ambient Scape Quencer live on video.

Short description: 4 multi-sampled tonal soundscapes in 4 sources, each with a dedicated arp with different long cycle lengths, hold long notes to create ever evolving scape mixes.

Here comes a 40+ min long video explaining, analyzing an playing all the waterbell patches from this library. It's not a tutorial but I explain quite a few things on the fly.
