Dark Prairie is a sound set for Xfer Records Serum that is heavily inspired by today's aphotic film, and game soundtracks. Containing dark ambient/cinematic atmospheres, unnatural, and organic sound effects, industrial bass/ percussive hits, and experimental synths that humbly try to reflect the exploratory nature that resides in most of us.
Dark Prairie is fitting for those seeking new sounds for their next Cinematic, Ambient or Industrial composition, or for those just looking for something a little more unconventional.
Price - 12.95USD

Congrats with this new release Brandon!
I'm not a Serum owner, but knowing your works this certainly will be a fine set!
The demotrack sounds awesome I must say.

Fantastic work Brandon. I'm really thankful I could be the first to work with this brilliantly engineered set of sounds and presets. I could imagine this being a creative basis for all types of electro-cinematic music productions.
And here's an extended version of the demo track I've just added to my SC profile, which emphasizes the main melodic part a bit more:

Ok now this is how a Serum soundset should be done - with really thoughtful use of the macros - I have bought too many sets that barely have any, or when they do they are just given silly assignments like fx wet/dry. Great soundset, one of the best for Serum.

I would have to agree how impressive this is. I don't really need another soundset but am purchasing to support this creative guy....
EDIT: Tried to purchase. Website does not recognize when I agree to terms of service, keeps asking me to agree....

Thanks aMUSED. That made my day.aMUSEd wrote:Ok now this is how a Serum soundset should be done - with really thoughtful use of the macros - I have bought too many sets that barely have any, or when they do they are just given silly assignments like fx wet/dry. The macros are a huge part of why Serum is the powerhouse that it is. IMHO
Depending on what they are assigned to, it can turn a preset into an entirely different and new sound all together, or just add a little spice. Just depends on the mood. Can think of quite a few synths that could benefit by having macros.
That's very strange. Sorry to hear that..jc_vt wrote:I would have to agree how impressive this is. I don't really need another soundset but am purchasing to support this creative guy....

Will try to checkout and see if I get the same result.
I do appreciate your kind intention though. PM'd.

+1 for the Yeti and for another well-crafted set of sounds from Brandon...but mostly for the Yeti.Ridan wrote:Yeti bump.

Thank you! Nearly all of the clips were recorded (computer keyboard as MIDI) and automated live for a short screen capture walkthrough video. However, the video was lagging quite a bit so ended up just keeping the audio instead, and adding a couple of more sounds.
