We've worked with a graphic designer who created a full psd in photoshop for our Kontakt instrument GUI design.
However, he is not sure how to create the necessary images to animate the knobs using JKnobMan.

Looking for someone to work with us to use our psd to make functional knobs.
We have 1 knob, 1 slider, and 1 button.

Not able to do this on my own, anyone want to help? Will pay!

Thanks.

1) Save each PSD layer in format PNG with transparent background.

2) Load each standalone PNG image into KnobMan like its layer.

3) Then is need to adjust each layer at right size because KnobMan zooms it to full size.

4) The cursor at knob is need to set to moving from left side to right side.

5) Then just the whole knob with all layers renders like the one strip - 127 continuous images in PNG format at the size of needed pixels.

OR

if you do not need to change any shadows at knob, simply save the whole knob without cursor like the PNG, load it into KnobMan and then just create moving of cursor.

It's easy to do within photoshop by using actions and a script.

Say the knob is 40x40px and should turn 2 degrees each frame.

Setup an action that moves the knob down 40px, turn the knob 2 degrees. (If you are using a vertical imagestrip.)
Run that action until you have the right amount of frames. Preferrably by running a script that activates the action for X amount of times.

Your designer should now that if he uses PS in his work. It's also easy to find info on Google about this.

Edit: If your knob uses an outer ring as position indicator I would suggest following ArtVera's instructions and use Knobman.
