Given the sales and wealth of stuff i'm a bit overwhelmed, can't demo everything so besides TSAR1 what else is worth trying that's currently in the sales?

mpx is so stripped and the internal settings are not good...

at minimum go for the lxp, TRUST me on that.. i have seen it i think it was like 50 bucks? amazing value and amazing product. Maybe it was 99 but even so you can't go better for that money.

If you mean clipping i noticed that on some settings. But i wanted something simple akin to TSAR-1R that sounded good but with a bit more contol. LXP did cross my mind, think it's $99 atm so i'll look around.

i know that's the standard answer in every reverb topic and don't get me wrong, awesome dev, awesome plugins, but i still choose lexicon even though i have 50 or whatever less algorithms and much more complex gui (the pcm bundle). Because some of us particularly want the exact lexicon sound. And that's what the lexicon plugins give since they are direct hardware ports (and they sound sensational).

Although the uad 224 is probably my fave software reverb ever these days (but yes once again lexicon) hehe).

^Exactly, that's why i was asking cause they're so good. The ones i know of are TSAR, Relab, NI RC48 and 24.

It's a different character to what i've heard from Valhallas' stuff and just what i've been looking for.

I read on GS that MPX and LXP are quite different but both have their place. Is there an upgrade path with Lexicon or do you buy them all seperately? I don't want to man verbs, just a good one with hall, room and plate for now. Cheers.

no upgrade prices.

bear in mind, pcm used to be 1799, lxp 699 and mpx 299.. so the prices these days actually put them on the cheaper end of the scale. LXP is the sweet spot.. you get a unique room that you ONLY get with lxp, not even with pcm, and the other three are three of the flagship pcm

MPX is using the same tech but most of the controls are hidden in comparison and it's sort of like they have done the tweaking for you "under the hood". Thing is, they are not good choices, and anything mpx can do lxp can do anyway. but alot lot more. I think you will regret not spending an extra 50$ for such a difference. I wouldn't use mpx myself if it was the only native lex plugin.. i'd just skip it altogether i really don't like it.

for what you get for $99 with lxp, it's incredible. MPX misses out on the multipliers and the better EQ i mean it's really basic.. Look i have done what i can to honestly give you my opinion, the rest is up to you.

good luck with whatever you decide on!

WOW lxp is $84.15 in cart at JRR

Sorry but that is reverb bargain of the CENTURY. I happily paid $399 for it when on "SPECIAL" a few years back and thought it was a bargain.

Just wow.. they are true lexicon pcm 96 algos for 84$

Post

How you getting $84 in cart? Says $99 when I do it.

Edit. Nvrmind my blind ass can see it now
