Hi,

Is it possible to apply a Pythagorean tuning to Spire?

and if you want to put Spires tuning in a=432hz do you need to finetune the 4 oscillators individually?
or is there an other way?

Cheers,
Geert.

I'm hanging out for this exact feature too. Pythagorean 432
The new version (v1.1) supposedly has microtuning, so either Scala or Tun files…

I think the function is broken?

The harmonic tunings are not yet possible with Spire, but the feature should be on its way.

You can tune Spire to 432HZ by using the pitchbend midi messages, sent from your host. You need the same pitchbend +/- settings for all patches in Spire and this you can do by using a Mouse and Keyboard repeater software ( making the changes to all patches one by one ).

The correct pitchbend value you need to calculate with calculator.

Also beware the 432HZ is not in tune with the Solar System / Other planets

there are 365,25 days in a year, and for the HZ which is derived from seconds to be in tune with other planets there should be only 360 days in a year

Hint for calculation: The correct herz is slower than current 432

Greetings!
We are happy to inform you about Spire v1.1.2 release.
We have added microtuning support: Now Spire can be tuned in different temperaments using Scala tuning files.
Also Spire can be tuned to A=432 Hz, known as Verdi’s ‘A’ / Pythagorean Tuning. Available frequencies: from 432 Hz to 446 Hz :tu:

Let's hope the tuning is a session based and not a global one.
