Behavior envelope pushing filter down

Given a low pass filter the behavior for the envelope pushing the filter up when sensitivity to velocity is high is clear to me. However it is not clear to me what the behavior is when the envelop is pushing the filter down? What if the envelope is highly sensitive to velocity. Will the max velocity give the cut-off frequency the biggest sweep down or will the minimum velocity give the filter the biggest sweep down? Does the fact that it is a LP filter matters? Maybe you would need other behavior when it is a HP filer?

Max velocity will (or should) close the filter more if the filter is LP and if the filter frequency envelope amount is set to negative.
It wouldn't if the velocity was going to filter frequency directly, not to envelope.
