What have you set MuLab's Audio output to?
Click "Mulab" then "Audio setup" then "Yes" then check the set up is correct.
Have you loaded one of the demos and played that?

Hi sorry for delay
Yes, I did that - I set core audio device to 'built in outptut'. The only others options are : built in microphone and built in input (neither solve problem).
Yes a demo is cycling through, no problem. Just no sound.
My goal is to play my bass through the VST I loaded.
Thanks
Cebe

Are you using an old version of MuLab for any specific reason, by the way?
On the subject... If you get a demo playing, does MacOS show any sign of having the core audio device in use (I'm a windows user and have no experience with Mac Audio, so I can't guide you more than vaguely! ) - is there a "system mixer" with MuLab as a connection, for example?

Hi thanks for your reply
I've downloaded what i believe is a current version.
There's no system mixer as I understand it. MuLab runs and there's no sound. It may be easier to just buy an amp! Push the on button and away you go!

Macboi here. In MuLab/Audio Setup, be sure you select your audio interface (what you plug your bass into), and then in Apple/System Preferences also choose that interface for Input and Output. You can also go to Utilities/Audio Midi Setup to change I/O and sample rate. All the signals are then flowing through your interface. Then relaunch MuLab (you may need to restart your Mac in 10.6).
