Hello,
Falcon officially imports sfz files. But how? I can not find a way. The mapping editor recjects them, the tree view ignores them. The manual says nothing about .sfz.
Thanks,
Stefan

You just load it like any other falcon preset, DnD onto a part, double click in popup or right panel browser.extrajazz wrote:Hello,

Simple as that.

A "work in progress" MPE script with a demo preset (requires Falcon 1.0.2, now released)
You can either use the direct volume and pitch handling from this script
or use the new MPE script driven modulation sources to use the 3 axes at your convenience.
http://we.tl/fkvbjyOxu7
Works pretty fine on Seaboard RISE.
Eager to see how it goes with other MPE devices.

Oristan, just want to confirm this. You're saying 1.0.2 IS released? Is that with the fix for the Xfade for sample playback?otristan wrote:A "work in progress" MPE script with a demo preset (requires Falcon 1.0.2, now released)

Well, I hate to be the bringer of bad news but the sample Xfade issue, at least on my machine, is still not resolved. My DAW froze up again and I had to reboot my PC.
Maybe it has something to do with my procedure.
Step 1) Import sample
Step 2) "Cut off" beginning of sample by moving the "X" over so that play begins mid way through the sample. Do the same thing with end of sample so that play doesn't go all the way to end.
Step 3) Create loop by highlighting section of sample and choosing create loop option.
Step 4) Create Xfade and move the Xfade "X" to the left to set area of Xfade. I see that I can only move this so far so I assume there is a max area.
That's it. That's what I do. After doing this, I play some notes and after a very short time, my DAW and external UR28M Steinberg USB Audio Interface lock up and I have to reboot my PC as I can't even get Cubase to close.
What's next?

Ive tested the new MPE script with both my Madrona Labs Soundplane and Eigenharp Alpha in their MPE modes, and both work brilliantly, and as I said previously, Im also really happy to see the CPU usage doesn't really go up much either - tremendous stuff... hope to have some real fun this evening with Falcon.
Thanks again.

a couple of small (I think ) features requests for falcon standalone
a) Ive notice in the MPE script, it can set a part to be OMNI for a port, could we have this in the standalone UI too? (i.e. B Omni)
b) It seems like if you have midi devices setup in your preferences that are not present when you start falcon, then falcon removes them.
please could you just leave them be I have a number of controllers, but they are not all turned on/available, all of the time.... (some of them are using virtual midi ports), and currently I have to go to the preferences each time I start Falcon to add them.
Thanks
