Need Help With Marketplace Listing

Any problems with the site? How can we improve KVR?

I have looked all over this forum and there doesn't appear to be a sub forum for reporting problems so I'm coming here for some direction as to where to go.

I am trying to list new soundware in the KVR database but the synth that I have developed the soundware for isn't listed and there is no option to type in the name. You must choose from a drop down box.

What do I do? I don't want to just put in any synth by the company and it won't let me submit with the field not filled in.

Please help.

What synth is it that needs adding?

Ben, it's XILS Syn'X 2. In fact, both that and the mini Syn'X are missing. I assume it's up to the developer to enter these in. The problem is, if they don't, we can't add our sound library to the database because of the error message that we have to enter in a product. Finally, I just gave up and today, noticed that, for whatever reason, my actual sound library which I added in draft mode yesterday, was listed. So I used that and set it live today. But technically, this is not correct. My sound library is not for my sound library. It's for the Syn'X 2. So once it's added, I'll go in and modify my listing with the correct "For Product."

It would be great if we had the option to either type in a name directly or bypass this field. I realize that since these are links, manual typing will lead to nowhere. But it beats not being able to enter in our products at all.

Either way, something has to be done about this problem because with all the synths I'm designing libraries for, this is certain to happen in the future again. I'm actually surprised that in a year, this is the first time it's happened.

Any optimization that can be done on this process will be greatly appreciated.

We shouldn't be at the mercy of other developers to enter in our own products.

The version number 2 is under latest version in the infobox on the right side.
Well they don't come up when I go into my product listing under "For Product" when I type in XILS. Okay, I found it under SynX. Lack of consistency in product entries can be a bit of a problem. I assumed since XILS synths were all under XILS, that these two were not entered.

Okay, will make the change now.

Hold on, no, that's not right. That's SynX that's entered. SynX 2 is NOT entered. This library won't work for SynX. SynX 2 still needs to be entered.

Okay, more confusion. If you look at the SynX entry, you'll see it says version 2.0 under version numbers. But the description still says SynX. I don't know if this is going to be a problem for customers trying to determine if my library will work for SynX 2 or not. I know that Dune 1 and Dune 2 are two different synths and the libraries are not interchangeable. SynX and SynX 2, as well, are not interchangeable. My library won't work for somebody who hasn't upgraded to SynX 2. This can be a problem. There should be a separate entry for SynX 2 and not just a version number change because people don't read the fine print.
