I'm looking for free vocals/choirs with SFZ mappings.

I've only found two sets with SFZs so far; the Sonatina chorals and Karoryfer's Merry Orks.

Has anyone managed to make an SFZ from Ivy Audio's Clare Solo?

Claire solo has true sampled legato, right? That should be possible using some extended MIDI CCs for "last note played", I'm pretty sure.

Alter/Ego's Daisy also uses SFZ for control opcodes, though it's not mapping samples for playback. Still, it can be useful to look up how stuff like vibrato humanization or portamento is done.

Yes it does.

Is there not an automatic magic way to convert the Kontakt files?

Post

That Kontakt library uses Kontakt's compression on the audio files, is heavily scripted and Ivy forbids redistribution of their instruments, so that seems unlikely to be converted.

Go to http://www.bandshed.net/sounds/sfz/ and download "choir.zip".

Ah, I understand :(

A decent choir, thanks.

Thinking about it all more, I need a female soloist SFZ! I wonder if there any good free sample packs that could be adapted?

Not great, but the OLPC collection has male and female vocal clips that I made Kontakt instruments out of.
