Well, it seems that the degree of stupidness here is steadily growing
But joking apart, personally I have to reiterate once more - new rhythm copying/modifying possibilities are very nice and much improved, so the only important question (for me, at least) is
whether (or not) we get the chance to easily save/quickly re-use our custom-made rhythms in future betas
Cheers to all

How about the inclusion of another folder location for RC to default to when creating, loading and saving composition files?
Right now, RC defaults to saving compositions to the root folder of its data folder. While RC already does allow a user to save a composition to any folder he/she chooses, it can save mouse-clicks to be able to just save to the default folder (specifically to a default root folder of one's own choosing).
Also, it helps the RC data folder to look less cluttered, do you not agree?

You are right, it is possible to save the rhythm of a phrase generator only at the moment using the "Save Rhythm"
button. I will fix this shortcoming today by allowing dropping any rhythm pattern on the rhythm browser. I try to upload a new update as soon as possible.
As a small surprise, an Euclidean rhythm generator was added yesterday. It will be useful for percussion. Don't expect fancy animated circle graphics, maybe in v4.0...
Thanks,
Attila

Yes, I agree, I'll add a folder location for that. Although I was planning to implement project management in the long run, with project specific settings, global and local folders for phrases/rhythms.tonedef71 wrote:How about the inclusion of another folder location for RC to default to when creating, loading and saving composition files?

Hi tolstoevsky!
In the next update (hopefully tomorrow!) it will be possible to drop a rhythm pattern on the browser to save it.
Now I officially break up the "stupid users club"
Thanks!

Very good question. Yes, it is possible to use the same folder for both. The current beta version has a few issues with that but it works well in the next update.tolstoevsky wrote:Also I would like to clarify whether it's possible to use the same main folder for "custom phrases" for "custom rhythms" (in Location settings)?

its really great what big enhance you do in this short time. It make lots fun to play. I look in keyboard shortcuts because i look for a keydefination to play the phrase (the button right regenerate), but it do not work. It seem in generator Phrase window the key do not work. I define t and for loop r . it work in a phrase with note Editor only. the generator phrase do also not toggle loop it play always 1 time. have loopplay is usefull, to hear how it sound when repeat. in the phrase note editor r as repeat switch do work

Hi magicmusic,
Thank you. I will check the keyboard shortcuts because I also discovered that Ctrl-A did not work for phrase selection. I'll check the other keys too.
Thanks!

Hi yellukhan, yellukhan wrote:uhmm, same MG preset in v2 and v3
(in the v3 all note lengths : 1/16)
the reason they look different is that in v2 the note lengths were not stored with the rhythm but notes were sustained automatically until the next note (for manually edited rhythm). I added a small fix so that you can use the v2 phrases, of which you created hundreds of, or maybe more.
Thanks!
