i JUST bought the bass amp plugin.
goodness! better than ANY preamp pedal i've tried.
speaking of... if you guys could put this in a stomp box! good lord!!!
i just started using Reaper with my Scarlett 18i8.
i was having the nasty monitor delay problem. until i found the buffer setting.
piece of cake!
just WOW on this plugin.

perfect solution:
small windows pad with the stand alone Cerberus app into something like the Scarlett Solo.
direct into the PA.
BAM!!!

Hey, glad you liked Cerberus. Yes, it's a monster!
Thanks for the feedback, and by the way, that's a gorgeus fretless

thanks!
getting a good input level into Cerberus makes all the difference.
i get the best result using the mic pre input on my Scarlett 18i8 rather than the rear line inputs.
i've tried using a gain booster plugin ahead of Cerberus, but i think it's geared more for guitar.
any thoughts on gaining the DI bass level prior to Cerberus?
2 other questions:
can you restore factory default settings?
the rack extension - the manual says to add as an FX - i'm not at my studio at the moment.
does the RE show up as an FX chain option?
thanks

What a collection of amazing basses...!! Any samples ?
About the input gain staging. Use your ears to achieve the tone you are after!
The input level can affect the saturation and could produce different attack feeling when playing

i do have samples... but with my previous DAW.
i switched (THANKFULLY) to Studio One v3.2.2.
so i will post new recordings/vids soon.
thanks for the comment on my basses.
the black 5 string just sold. down to 4 bangers now.
i've played everything, 3 string, short scale to 3 octave (36 position, of course) 7 string fretless.
but the good ol' 4 string speaks to me best.

here's a quick snippet:

just a rough - still getting gain staging, etc set up.

thanks.
i've also been playing with some 3rd party cab sims.
the emulations of classic hardware EQs and compressors are equally crazy good.
pretty amazing the tech available these days.
