Malfunctioning presets

I'm working on a Macbook Pro on which I have installed the V-Collection 4 (and a whole lot more).
Apart from Arturia soundbanks I also have additional soundbanks from Musicrow and Kid Nepro.
Most presets run just fine, but there are a few that cause severe earache in the form of a loud short burst of noise, after which the sound-channel is muted and I have to restart the application in order to restore sound.
It's obviously some kind of glitch, not the intended sound in question, and especially when using in-ear headphones these malfunctioning presets shock the hell out of me.
Of course, a simple solution would be to just delete those bad ones, but I'd like to find out and understand why this is happening. Why does it disengage the sound?

Are there others who have experienced this ?
