I've been using it for years but have always felt some of the effects are lacking especially the chorus effects.
What are some other really good multieffect vsts, I really am more interested in multieffects as apposed to the focus being amp models. Most VSTs I've found on google focus more on amp modeling than guitar multifx. Can anyone suggest some vsts to check out that contain a lot of good multieffects?

Thanks in advance!

I recently bought GTR 3.5 from Waves in their sale.
Really loving it.
There seems to be so much flexibility.

Amplitube has some nice FX, IMHO, with many licensed names that you would know (Wampler, etc.). I think you can download the free version of Amplitube and then try individual effects before you buy.

Revalver lets you load VST effects. If you have a separate VST chorus effect that you really like, for example, you can load that in directly to Revalver.

Yep, if you're looking to replace Guitar Rig (and let's be honest, who wouldn't?), Revalver is pretty damn good. Ultimately, you only pay for what you want in it and stuff is absurdly cheap - amps are $8, cabs $2. It's not the absolute ultimate in sound but it sounds great, is very mix friendly and is loads of fun (very important that bit).
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Yeah, but he's not looking for amps...
Nomad Factory Magma is nice, as is PSP N2O. But I'm not sure, as I don't use them, if their FX are indeed of better quality than GR's.

In all honesty, the quality of the amp model section improves the effects. It's very hard to separate the two. Pod farm has great effects, but it's hard to stick to using their models.

for the amps i like IK Multimedia (Mesa...),
as spring reverb the psp springbox
And then there is Exponential Audio's Excalibur, which is superb (iLok).

Definitely S-Gear!

+1 for Amplitube's chorus selections. I really like the MXR Stereo Chorus and the Wampler Nirvana. They also have the standard Boss chorus, Roland Chorus/Vibrato, and a few others.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

My most used multi-fx is effekthascher. There are maybe 100 filters and fx (all kind, also chorus, amps, body, enhancer, verbs, springs...) and the best is this amazing modulation and its ultrafast workflow - i really like it.
The video shows only the top of the iceberg.

I'm really liking S-Gear 2.5 and Amplitube 4 lately. Haven't had AT4 all that long but I've been an IKMM software user since the mid 2000s and I was current enough that all I had to buy was MESA and the AT4 upgrade itself (so I already had Slash and the Orange pack). I have had more time with S-Gear as I initially got it back in the early versions.

I feel like Amplitube has the edge in effects, quite a lot of licensed (and no small number of unlicensed) effects available with good guitar-friendly effects routing options now, which was a bit of a weakness in prior versions. S-Gear's effects selection is small but mighty and each module covers a lot of ground; it just has far less going on than AT4 does, if you count the Custom Shop gear as well.

That looks really cool, what is the latency on it though. To play guitar live i need to be under 15ms .

True but I think guitar rigs amps are already good I just need more fx I've always been a fan of 80s chorus fx, like a lot of new wave bands used, also one of my favorite bands was Orgy who did a LOT of effects in every single one of their songs (except punk statik paranoia, that album sucked lol and their new albums suck too, but candyass and vapor transmission had a insane amount of guitar and synth fx going on all the time)
